[A few months ago, Michael might very well have been among those to regard Nanaue with open horror. He certainly looks the part of a monster. Since his arrival, however, he's met werewolves that don't hunt people, vampires that don't attack humans, and leviathans that beach themselves only to rely on the mercy of the locals to be dragged back to the sea. By now he's learned to 'roll with it', as Adam might have put it.
Michael stops and turns when called. Maybe it's the fact that he doesn't flinch as the man-shark thunders down the path at him that Nanaue appreciates in return.
