[ Jaskier has a point. Right now, Ciri wants to enjoy the bounty while all their food is still warm, and without getting stepped on. With her mouth still full, she nudges Jaskier toward one of the buildings crammed along the sides of the street like mismatched puzzle pieces, some of them large and looming, others small and squat. There, they can duck against the wall and out of the way, not in peace but at least in relative safety from feet and elbows.
The skewer is already gone. She reaches for the bun next. ]
