[Alucard's theory is this: Geralt may not have been taught, but lived experience over a century is far, far more valuable in his particular circumstances. He doesn't know how long he'll live, but these feelings will not be disappearing any time soon. Being stuck in survival mode likely is the other reason for all of this.
