As a matter of fact, she does feel it -- that familiarity, that sense of belonging, the way the knowledge simply settles over her that she has found what she was looking for. That he has found her. A stranger whose face she does not know, and yet he brings such a sense of comfort with him that she doesn't even question it. It helps, perhaps, that Jaskier has explained. It's only natural, then, to feel comforted by the presence of a parent she'd been missing.
