He pauses, giving the idea serious consideration. He hasn't wanted to commit before now, even if he'd had the resources to do so, but whether he has long-term ties to this land or not is no his decision, it seems.

"I might be," he says slowly. "I'd need a mount with stamina, but nimbleness, and speed when it counts. It's a lot to ask in one."
