[Frankly the fact that she can't lie her way out of even simple social engagements with the locals is reassuring to him. It's one more thing that separates Wanda from her kinship with Lucifer. Sometimes, Michael needs to not be reminded of his brother.]

You could learn.

[As worthy a use of her time as any other. Especially considering she's resorted to passing time by cleaning the library.

Michael can read thoughts, but not in the passive, effortless (inevitable, unavoidable) way Wanda does. He has to make the effort. She hasn't invited him in, and he remembers still that chastising comment about not testing her skills when they first met, so he doesn't try. Never hurts to practise his conversational skills, either.

It doesn't take a mindreader to tell that Wanda is still ruminating on something, however. It's in the way she focuses a little too intently on the books, yet seemingly without seeing them (is the one in her hands backwards and upside down?). Michael accepts the stack for the top shelf, takes the time to read each title instead of pinning Wanda with his gaze.]

Well? Spit it out. You've got something on your mind.

[Did you make another pact with an old god? Tell him this isn't another big life decision she's being quiet about.]
