Istredd is usually a wallflower at these events, wearing subdued colors that are barely formal enough, and staying to the side. So it is rare for him to show up in real formal wear and while not the most extroverted person at the banquet, he makes attempts at interacting with others. The blue of his clothes make his vivid blue eyes 'pop' on purpose, but he is feeling a little nervous about intentionally standing out.

During the volunteered entertainment portion, Istredd stands up and performs an impressive illusion magic show that focuses on the Arcana symbols that are of great interest to the city. The symbols are shimmer and beautiful, looking as if you can reach out and touch them, each given their own moment to shine as they move around the ballroom. He rarely uses his abilities to show off, but this is a unique opportunity. Afterward he seems a little awkward and shy about it, but seemed pleased that the attempt went well. He watches the other performances and applauds for them.

The one thing Istredd remains hesitant about as a wallflower is dancing. While he avoids asking other people to dance, people he knows will be able to drag him out to dance. He is a stiff dancer but does know the steps and can lead or be led. He seems much more loose and comfortable after dancing with Lucifer though.
