[ The (sort of) assigned seating at dinner is an interesting choice that reminds him a bit of the trip to Luna. This time, however, it's far less formal and with plenty of opportunities to get up and move around which Claude does off and on as the night progresses. Usually with a drink in hand though whatever's in the cup tends to disappear slowly whenever it's refilled, tempting as it is to down most of it in one go like it'll help purge memories of recent events he'd rather not have.

Still - that's never been his style and some well-concealed part of Claude is too on edge to let his guard down fully even with familiar faces and a known location around. One round of dancing ends and after he bows to his partner for it whether that's something they're used to or not, he means to head over and take a break, maybe browse some more of the refreshments along the way.

That's not where he ends up since speaking of things he knows, he spots Marianne on a different edge of the festivities so whatever course he was going to take reroutes as he comes to stand by her with a smile. ]
