"Ah, I see. It has been a long time since my training in court details so I regrettably don't remember titles well." Long time as in sixty years and Istredd never cared enough about courts to truly pay attention to his lessons. He always knew he wouldn't end up in one like other mages. His scholarly pursuits were always a priority and the Brotherhood allowed him to go down that route instead.

"No, I'm afraid they have their own monarchy and court system here, we are all outsiders to this sphere. No one's title matters here." It is said gently because he knows people accustomed to rank might struggle with that, but it is to help John if he deals with the true lords and ladies of this place. He knows that several of the others had titles, perhaps even royal ones, but had to let go of that past here.

"Yes, magic is very rare in my sphere in comparison to here, where everyone has access to it. It's quite beautiful to see." Istredd loves that.
