[Lord John meets the other's expression with a smile of his own, before glancing back up at the sky once more.]

It is rather orange in color, to the naked eye. It is what helps it stand out, in the sky.

Arcturus -- it means 'Bear-guard', in Greek. There is a constellation in the sky, Boötes, the herdsman. Arcturus rests as the gem that might fasten his belt, just so.

[There is of course, a more solemn story behind the constellation and its mythology. But Lord John would prefer not to ruin the evening with the Greeks' obsession with tragedy, if it can be helped.]
