"Pair that with the fact that a great many beings assume we do not drink, swear, or engage in frivolity due to the nature of our connection to the Force and our vocation; it can provide an excellent opportunity to...tease the local politicians." To say he's above using those assumptions to his advantage or shocking the opposition by being distinctly unruffled in situations that call for cultural exchanges or dances like this would be quite untrue. One uses every tool in their kit to ensure a mission is successful, and the more means Obi-Wan has on hand to do so without having to resort to violence? The better. Though it's difficult to think of those missions and moments while in the middle of teaching someone that learns things very quickly, adapts mid movement, and matches him stride for stride.

It almost brings to mind sparring with Anakin, though there's ever that disparity in experience and intention. With Castiel? Despite his unfamiliarity he's cottoned on to the vibe more or less instantly.

Considering he's a vibration of celestial intent riding a willing, limiting host, the notion prompts another quiet huff of laughter at his own internal joke while he steps through the spin, turning in until they're close. Elbow high, eyes locked, Lips a breath apart Obi-Wan hums. "I suppose we could discuss whether or not you've had much success in looking for your friend? Or- if you were among the number that were kidnapped? Because I spoke to one of those that were in the pit and he had a most troubling vision he shared with me."

Which is, well. Both delicate, heavy, and something that might ruin the pleasant evening- but he hasn't heard anything of anyone else having similar visions- or at least if they had? They weren't talking about it. If Castiel knew others and was better known among the Summoned, perhaps he knew more? Or could find answers.

His grip and weight shifts, turning them in a pivot, guiding Castiel down into a mutual lunge to avoid the passing arms of a flailing couple going at it with no little vigor, brow quirked at their 'Amorocity', as Castiel so neatly put it.

"Alternatively we can leave that morbid business for another time and you could explain why you looked so plaintively at the worn tan garment you'd left behind on a chair when I invited you to dance?"
