Also he'd been missing his car before ever finding himself in this world, since it had been so rudely destroyed only a few days earlier, but that's ultimately not important.

"There's magic school here." It's half a joke, half serious; the whole concept feels a little silly and it's certainly not the sort of school either of them would be used to, but it would at least help in being prepared for magical adventures. "I think it's more like magical college than high school, though. But that's probably an improvement." College had been a lot more enjoyable than high school in his opinion, after all.
