Jesper has a fairly good poker face himself, at least when it comes to displaying emotions in a time like this. He's not that great at actual poker, which is why his gambling addiction was a problem. He was not good enough at playing cards to win more than lose. But when it comes to watching a woman get put into a dead sheep and be eaten alive by birds as a sacrifice, he seems pretty outwardly calm.
"I think she would've preferred the deaths we had in mind." Jesper doesn't know how bad he would have made it when he killed her, but knowing him, he would've softened and simply executed her. Made it quick and easy. Torturing is only really worth it to him for information. There was nothing he wanted to know from her, other people did that first.
"Although I would've thought a zealot like her would've enjoyed being gobbled up by a god." He assumes that's what they are going to call the creature and its birds. Jesper doesn't really have strong opinions on the gods outside of that they're true, and he doesn't know if they're divine so much as powerful creatures who exist here. Same difference. He's never been religious.
"The fact the people who worked with her gets to breathe air is annoying though."
