John is fairly certain he had not ever anticipated hearing the phrase many of us are supernatural beings uttered in any serious vein. Not until he had found himself waking up naked in a strange fountain and his whole world suddenly found itself on its head.
"It will take some time for me to adjust to all of this," he replies, with a somewhat rueful smile. "But it is good to know that the people here are as welcoming as yourself. I only hope that I can meet up to the standards, or perhaps... Be able to offer something in return."
He tilts his head to the side, inquisitively. "I do not suppose you know of the need for any other forms of training, here? While I may not know the slightest bit about magic, I am an officer in the army, and I'll have you know I'm quite a hand with a sword."
((ooc: FORGIVE ME for how late a reply this is, i totally understand if its been too long, tl;dr a combo of RL stress/allergies/too much computer time at work ko'd me and i needed a semi hiatus from RP to recover -- i would be happy to continue and grow their cr down the road though if you're game!!))
