[He's quiet, listening, drink entirely forgotten as the vague outline of a few theories begin to take form. There are almost patterns there, almost connections to hold onto and compare, but it's just not enough quite yet.

He quickly thinks back through information from the lens of reaching alternate planes of reality, and about how being brought here might make a difference in reaching them when compared to natives of the world, and it makes sense that the factor of not being meant to be here might be the important part. It makes a lot more sense than the idea that the Summoned are inherently 'special' when compared to the native citizens, which has always felt both unfair and unwarranted.

But if it's about arriving here, and that arrival establishing some sort of extra connection to the Singularity--]

Do we know anything about the places we arrive here? It's a well or somethin' in the Free Cities--I don't know about the other factions--but there's got to be somethin' special about the particular locations, right?

[Perhaps not, but it feels like there should be, and that it might be an important piece to the puzzle of how this all fits together. If they are indeed bungee cording in a sense, crossing over boundaries between planes, then whatever boundary they crossed to actually arrive here should have some importance.]
