[That does make sense, even if it still seems strange to him that people native to this world would be at an overall disadvantage when it came to their own world's magic. But maybe that's the wrong way to be thinking about it; in addition to the idea of being summoned causing a stronger connection, maybe the Singularity isn't necessarily even of this world itself.
