[ Ciri's had more than a couple drinks herself at this point (it's been a long fucking few weeks), and she's pleasantly tipsy, making it easy enough to joke around with someone who isn't exactly a friend, but of some interest to her, and a friendly face if nothing else. She's ready to tease Hilda more for alternately trying to spare her would-be pursuers' feelings and trying to dissuade them entirely.
But she's not quite ready for what Hilda does next.
She grabs the other girl's hand automatically when reached for (that part feels natural enough), expecting they'll move forward toward the dance floor. Unsuspecting as she is, Hilda's quick tug gets Ciri to lean down, thinking she has something else to say--
Only to have Hilda's mouth meet hers, a quick, warm press of soft lips that leave a lingering aroma of Hilda's lipstick and the faintest fruity flavor.
Ciri stops in her tracks so suddenly, Hilda's next tug nearly makes her drop her mead. ]
