"Fair enough," he says, letting Jayce's fingers intertwine with his. Viktor might ordinarily shirk the public displays of affection, but they're on vacation, and he's riding high on their recent accomplishments. He's determined to enjoy himself to his fullest, and that includes walking through the market arm-in-arm with Jayce. "Maybe we'll find some ideas to steal."

A joke, of course! Viktor certainly has many ideas of what they can present to Fallon Marsh. Aquila, to his understanding, is not necessarily a town like Libertas, or even Cadens. They'll be more interested in tools for artisans than anything else, but luckily he thinks that he and Jayce can hold their interest. So, they'll have that meeting, and hopefully make a few inroads for their business, then they can have the rest of the time to themselves.

"The beach is nice. I like it better under controlled circumstances." Meaning, he'll swim with Jayce and not worry about drowning a mile off the shore. The proposition of staying here, however, causes him to raise an eyebrow. "Perhaps you can use some of your newfound political clout to lobby for a permanent portal."

Especially if they hope to put down business roots here. Viktor addresses the topic of politics carefully--he's sure he doesn't need to tell Jayce why he's wary, even if this conclave is a far cry from Jayce's place on the Council.
