"Claude would agree with me," he says, though of course that's not serious. Viktor understands what the conclave is, and the power they hold, and he's not about to come in the way of representative democracy (or something like it) for his own ends. Viktor can't sit here and say that Jayce should be a more responsible politician, and then make him submit requests that benefit their research and business. Well, he could. But-- "It would appear too biased. Let's see how your first term goes, and then, perhaps, we'll put forward a motion for us. I'm thinking freer trade, between cities. Perhaps even Nocwich."

That said, he has his own plans in mind, for the leverage they've gained recently, one that doesn't involve lobbying the other Summoned with the hope that they'd drop their own priorities to push his own forward. Viktor isn't really interested in playing politics, anyway, but he and Jayce are already making strides simply by being here. It's very like them, to multi-task, and use their vacation to get some work done. Neither of them enjoy being idle for long, and their planned meeting with Fallon Marsh makes him feel accomplished.

Not so preoccupied that he can't enjoy the new sights, and a little levity in the form of beach-related purchases. Viktor returns the large hat to the display, and returns to one that's more modest but suitably floppy. He takes Jayce's choice, too, intending to bring them to the merchant and continue with their afternoon. The water is sounding more appealing by the moment.

"I promise to stay out of direct sunlight, then, and to apply sufficient protection to avoid this."

Though he wouldn't complain about Jayce taking care of him as described. The corners of Viktor's mouth pull upward a bit when Jayce touches his cheek. Viktor hasn't talked much about his actual, physical changes in the wake of his procedure, nor has he brought attention to them, but he can tell Jayce is relieved by the fact that he's gained some weight back; that he's less pale. "I feel better. You have no idea how exhausting it is, to be sick all of the time."

All of that is gone now. Viktor is just now starting to enjoy it.
