Himeka isn't known for being the best judge of character--too ready to trust and assume the best in everyone, despite the bits of skepticism she's learned over the past few years. She could chalk it up to a secluded childhood, but the reality is her village is often far too skeptic of the outside world. Mayhaps that's why she never needed to be.

Of course the way he describes the Tertiary Settlement is...well, hard to ignore, even for someone who had completely missed every innuendo Haurchefant had thrown her way. (How was she suppose to know that he wasn't talking about mounting actual chocobos? She looks nothing like one, thank you.) ]
