WELCOME TO SOLVUNN!
WELCOME TO SOLVUNN!
Welcome to Solvunn! Bright suns and merriest of welcomes to you! The portal opens in a vast field on the western side of town surrounded by cattle, with a distant view of the bustling marketplace. The first impression of the settlement is one of idylic, country charm. There are no looming structures or crowded streets. Instead, there are cozier houses on wide streets and community buildings made of stone and wood. A gentle breeze rolls across the field and the sun is high in the sky.
There's not as much magic here as in other locations, but it's there. No one will be stopped from entering Solvunn, though suspicion will be cast upon new arrivals. Citizens will be friendly and welcoming, but curious about their new visitors. It isn't often that they welcome new folks- especially not so many at once!
With tensions between the other communities, Solvunn will not be keen on ratting out those who fled Thorne, but with the knowledge that sanctuary will not be given for free. Everyone does their part, whatever that part may be.
Asking questions will result in being told to find Rowan March, one of the council members, somewhere in the marketplace.

His laugh rumbles in his chest and he shakes his head. ]
Aye, the truth is always far stranger than fiction. [ His hand comes up to his chin, stroking the neat, braided twists of his beard as he leans there in his musings. ] Not anything like this. Most find Solvunn a bit too rural for their tastes.

[ Eddie makes an effort to loosen up, shifting to uncross his arms. Maybe it really is just the big city in him, but he can't help feeling like this place is missing something, like there should be more to it that he's just not seeing. Missing something or hiding something.
Jesus fuck, he's getting paranoid. ]
You got enough supplies to host us? I don't think anyone wants to be a burden.

[ To emphasize his point, Rowan sucks in a large lungful of air and noisily exhales it. His demeanor shifts to something a bit more serious, his expression thoughtful. ]
Aye, we should have plenty, graced by the gods as we are. So long as nobody minds a bit of work to get it done, we shouldn't have to entertain the thought of empty bellies.

So he does, he sucks in a breath and lets it out slow. Maybe he's not in the best frame of mind for comparisons, coming out of the dungeons as he did, but all he can sense is a bit less mildew. Well, that's not so bad. ]
How many gods are there?

Oh, there are gods for every aspect you could think of. Some of 'em have names, some of 'em don't. Maybe they do and we just haven't been deemed worthy to know it yet.
