WELCOME TO SOLVUNN!

WELCOME TO SOLVUNN!
Welcome to Solvunn! Bright suns and merriest of welcomes to you! The portal opens in a vast field on the western side of town surrounded by cattle, with a distant view of the bustling marketplace. The first impression of the settlement is one of idylic, country charm. There are no looming structures or crowded streets. Instead, there are cozier houses on wide streets and community buildings made of stone and wood. A gentle breeze rolls across the field and the sun is high in the sky.

There's not as much magic here as in other locations, but it's there. No one will be stopped from entering Solvunn, though suspicion will be cast upon new arrivals. Citizens will be friendly and welcoming, but curious about their new visitors. It isn't often that they welcome new folks- especially not so many at once!

With tensions between the other communities, Solvunn will not be keen on ratting out those who fled Thorne, but with the knowledge that sanctuary will not be given for free. Everyone does their part, whatever that part may be.

Asking questions will result in being told to find Rowan March, one of the council members, somewhere in the marketplace.

Yeah, Jon did warn me about that, actually. [But he appreciates the warning regardless, and his tone is grateful as he moves around the table.] I'm actually free now, this is entirely volunteering. I finished maybe an hour ago. So really, I'm free if you are!

Oh, that makes this easy, then. [Phoenix crosses his arms, smiling.] Where would you like to do this? You won't really be aware of your body once you're in, so somewhere safe and private's best.
antichristsplusone: (Alright there)

[He gives a contemplative hum, drumming his fingers idly on the wood.]

Well, uhm. My place isn't exactly great for having company over, not for- for this, specifically, between the kids a-and the attic, uh...

[And then he grins cheerfully.]

Oh- there's that lovely bench by the well just a little ways from here, it's usually empty around now, and it's against a wall so there won't be any chance of falling off it.
iobject: (Looking like a villain here)

A bench? You're sure?

[Phoenix looks skeptical, but far be it from him to tell a grown man what to do.] Okay. But remember, your body may be there a while.

antichristsplusone: (Well it could be worse)

I, um. Well, not now, but if we go to where I'm staying we'll be accosted by the kids, a-and the library isn't particularly private...

[There's a faint flush on his cheeks, a bit of self-consciousness manifesting.]

How long were you guys there for, for your first time?
iobject: (On the phone)

How long? I... honestly, I'm not sure. It felt like a lifetime. It must have been a few days at least. Maybe a couple weeks? But wouldn't we have been starving...? [He frowns, rubbing the back of his neck. It's really hard for him to keep track of time in the Horizon.] You should be able to leave consciously, though. People can guide you through it.
