At least his mood shift had some advantage. All things considered, Lucifer would accept that trade-off, even if Istredd's distracted may be brief.

It's a couple things that set him off, all built unsafely atop each other that it came down in a construction failure of a mess. Lucifer's been just as fine outwardly as Istredd has. No one would ever know these instances of his without being wired in to that mess.

He does take a breath. Winning.

He can feel the wind from the lakefront starting to wrap its way through the streets anyway, leading them on towards the harbor. They had to charter a boat. The three Summoned and their now likely-traumatized Thorne babysitter. There's enough bustle of activity the closer they get and with that creature dead they'll have less fear of going further out on the waters and better luck with their catches. "Any of the other captains should have an answer." I don't think, given our intentions, we'll need to push around some coin to get answers.

For all they know they already went by the family home. Or Istredd's bookshop, but that seems most unlikely.
