Altaïr is on the beach when a large hat drifts toward him on a breeze, apparently cast off from someplace much higher. He catches it on a whim, thinking it looks somewhat familiar, and looks up to see a familiar figure make a very graceful leap — not quite one of the leaps of faith he's used to seeing, but just as well done.
By the time Diana emerges from the water, she'll find that he's sauntered toward the shallows, holding her lost hat.
"I believe you lost this." He offers it with an amused smile. "Bought here, I take it? I didn't expect people to be so bashful about swimming."
