Give her a moment to put together where she screwed that up. It's clear on his face the moment she said, that whatever she did was wrong. She doesn't move her hand away as realization dawns.

This conversation has been weird enough she might as well double down, "is everything being coed just how people are here? The bedrooms, the baths?"
