Storytelling

Cadfael spends time wander the fey realm as far as they let, but he is inevitably drawn to the tales. He has a few of his own to tell, and is more than willing to share them. A good tale is proper currency in many places. It's no surprise it's even more so among the fair folk.

"A truly captivating tale," he compliments when the sombre man dressed all in black ends his story of a daring foray into an enemy fortress supposedly impossible to breach. "I do come out of it with a feeling that you, good sir, have left out an important character."

He smiles. It's just in his nature to follow the strands of tales people spin, in live and in fiction. To spot inconsistencies and follow them to their source. Here, the strands of the story have wrapped themselves around a hollow point. You do not storm a castle without a lord to lead you.

"Where is the sage who planned all of this? I'd love to here more about them."
