There's a small pause in where they seem to not quite stumble but have to consider the action of leading, one where Claude has to wonder if that's a clue. But the guessing game's on pause temporarily for the sake of making conversation, so it's easy to fall into step to their destination.

No harm in having fun with it since the point is to be someone besides himself - or putting a little truth in there.
