The tiniest quirk in one corner of her mouth twists her lips almost into a wry sort of smirk. She sounds like Geralt when she makes that soft hum, noncommittal and one-note. She isn’t sure where they stand with each other these days.
Inej knows the bigger beats about what happened with Dean, but she’s had her own things happening, and she took awhile to reset after The Pit. She still has certain things from that period that stick to her like molasses and won’t let go. But it’s easier to maneuver around it now with that tiny bit of space and distance from the second it happened.
