I think you're onto something there. Including the flattery, because don't think I missed that.
[ That's said cheerfully and with a slight chuckle, in on the playing around as he leads the way back towards where the shops are from his mental map of the areas they've been allowed to visit. Whether that navigation's accurate remains to be seen, but Claude's not focused on that since it just means enjoying more time with a friend as they walk towards the possibility of yet more mischief he's curious about.
The mention of Sylvain followed by the man in question enjoying the kitchen gets a fond smile from him. That's the easiest thing to focus on about the loft by far - given what else has happened since they'd moved, but he's not going to bring that up without being asked directly. ]
Yeah, that sounds about right. I think at this point he's banned Hilda and me from the kitchen more often than we've been able to step foot in it. That's probably for the best, at least when it comes to me.
[ Claude's aware there's some limitations enthusiasm can't make up for skill in - and cooking is one of them. Hilda's more of an exception considering she can cook and had been more likely to join in on the teasing of potential disasters they could unleash upon it. And fun as it might be to imagine all those methods of accidental destruction he might do in it given the chance, seeing the other man enjoy it far outranks that. ]
It's been nice to have our own space and not have to make ourselves fit into the rooms at the inn, though... that'd been more of an issue when there were more of us here than just three. [ Something else Claude doesn't want to dwell on, so he moves right on past that with a wave of his hand as if to clear it away from the air before them. ] It's been a change from the inn, to say the least, since I do miss seeing everyone around there regularly. All the more reason to keep stopping by the tavern when I can, though.
