[ That with regards to intent certainly gets a knowing smirk from Claude considering that's a line close to ones he's used over the years, if not also here in Abraxas one way or another. And it's true - there is a difference even if the line between them might not seem like it exists at first, but it really is all in that intent. ]

Making sure there was space for new people to move in was one of the other motivators we had besides getting our own space. It was hard, though, considering I'd been there about a year by the time the loft was ready for us to start moving into. Felt a little like letting go of something even though we didn't move all that far away, if that makes any sense.

[ That's less interesting than hearing Jesper talk about the Crows and what their space was like even if it's a sparse description. It's a community they've built for themselves - a family, much as Claude's started to think of the Cadens Summoned as such and in a smaller group, those from Fodlan. Or he had, for the latter; recent events leave that a bit to be determined in ways he doesn't want to think about, so it's easy to laugh at what Jesper follows that up with. ]

I think there's been plenty of chances for that, yes. But far be it from me to determine when a bed's broken in since I think a case could be made that it's never broken in until it's done properly.

[ As for what that is - well. Claude's content to not define it either since there's any number of ways to deem it so, as far as he's concerned, and Jesper's certainly always welcome company at the loft. Which hopefully goes without saying, and will have to wait a bit longer when he nods towards a shop of glamours he'd wandered through earlier in the day before finding out about the necessary currency. Once there, he reaches for the door first to hold it open for Jesper. ]
