"Helpful is a strong word." A library with all of human knowledge would be better if it didn't also have the same odds to fucking lie, or say fascist shit. Of course she hadn’t checked all the books in Cadens, maybe some of them just say ‘kys’ on the first page and the rest are blank. She’s not a nerd, she doesn’t read for fun.

As to his questions, she was more than aware that he asked, and looked for, different things when his mind was on the task. She also knew better than to think his casual handling of the weapons wasn't in some way involved in the topic at hand.

Which just made honesty a little easier. But for the opposite reason she was honest with Geralt. Geralt she told the truth because it was easy, Claude just seemed difficult to lie to. Did she want to kill? She didn't know. She felt a little sick at the idea, but not sick enough to say she couldn't. And this was all theoretical, if she was faced with her or them, she didn't know how that'd go.

"I'm not hoping to kill anyone. I'd like to avoid kidnapping, cults, and whatever the fuck Thorne is about as long as I can. I'd like to smoke weed, buy clothes, and ogle pretty people and not get involved in shit." Her gift from the Horizon was the ability to hide, but it had limits. The more attentive a person was, and less control she had over her environment, the easier it was for her to be caught. Her trials rarely let her pass active guards without being seen (unless in a crowd). While she could easily vanish into the bustle of the city better than she had any right to. "But if I can't run and hide, I would at least like to maim them a little so I can run and hide better. Or more, if even that doesn't get me free."
