He is Ciri's father, and she is the most important person in their entire sphere. He is bonded to her by Destiny, which makes them special. That is just something he is not going to get into.

It's also obvious that Istredd wouldn't like using anything against Yennefer. He can't take back that Lucifer now knows, but he will warn him all the same.
