[ elrond remains undaunted, bemused. his comment seems to be perceived the wrong way, but he does not need to correct it. this isn't a battle of wits after all. ]

[look he knows you're probably joking buddy but the pure exasperation that comes over Lucifer is STRONG, and a little bit of his Attitude flakes away with the wheezed-tone] You have no idea.

I may've put myself on some 'rocky ground' with the officials while you all were busy being kidnapped. [He says it like a stage whisper, like it's a secret, even though everyone that was in the castle during that time Absolutely Know.

May've kinda-sorta tried to get at Ambrose for all the kidnappings and... you know. A lot of shouting about Thorne's incompetence. [He shrugs. Even he doesn't really remember much of what was said.] Evidently any form of aggression towards the High Mage gets you--at least briefly, depending on circumstances [Lucifer honestly believes they let him out within a day because they needed to use the Summoned as resources] gets you thrown in the dungeons.

[He crosses his arms.] Well someone had to be the one to do it. [Despite everything, he does actually genuinely look like he believes that. As it was maybe the only time the Summoned could 'get away with' (to an extent) not behaving like good, quiet little stooges.]

A really annoying 'apology' letter from Ambrose driving home that no one was kidnapped from inside the castle. [And maybe if they just stayed in the walls they would've been Fine. So why do you stupid little idiots have to keep going out into town ect ect?
