Maybe we'll get lucky and he'll die from his own stupidity.
[ Istredd says dryly, no friend of Ambrose himself. Of course another mage will probably take his place, but maybe it would be Jolene, who overall is more tolerable, or even his sister Anastasia. And then they'll finally get access to Hayle. He doesn't have any respect for Ambrose which is clear in his tone. Maybe they both are being malicious, but he deserves it. ]
Yes. I think it was Himeka who said she tried to communicate with one of them, and she got 'Mission' as a message of a kind back. Wanda told me it was possible a blood ritual they did in Solvunn started it. They may have thought they were responding to a request and were welcomed.
[ Maybe he is giving them too much leeway, it is possible, but Istredd also thinks it's logical. A ritual was done, blood was spilled, the gods thought it was an offering, and they came to the calling. They then spread their type of power over the continent, but if they thought they were invited, it has a certain rationality to it. The herald who tortured him also tortured Lucifer to the point of breaking, so he is no friend to it, he simply thinks they weren't doing it for no good reason.
Not that he understands them in the least. Istredd is new to them being real in a way that they can see for themselves. He does not approve of what Wanda did in Solvunn, but it's not as if they intended to summon three gods who enjoyed wrecking lives for a little while. ]
I've warned people in Solvunn to be more careful about these things, but it's their choice.
Thank you for your patience!
