[ Loss of consciousness would definitely be enough reason for Finn to fuss, that's true, but he'll likely try before any injury got to that point. He already expects an argument, verbal or otherwise, to accompany any fussing that may or may not occur.

For the moment, he's a bit too stunned by the offer to think about this situation the other way around. Call Finn crazy, but he's pretty sure that James would rather do almost anything else, and the idea of waving the offer away for that reason alone does pop into his head. Poor guy looks uncomfortable as hell. But James still offered. Bit hard to pass up for all the same reasons.

Besides, if nothing else, Finn can call him a hypocrite during that argument they'll more than likely have eventually. ]

[ There was a bit of pause there, one where his features were left carefully blank thanks to the surprise. James can gather whatever he wants from that.

Either way, Finn scoots himself a little closer to get in reach, putting some of their supplies to the side as he does so. ]
