It's an intense thing, turning the little treat over in her own hands, holding it up above her head, giving it a sniff, licking off some of the cinnamony crust. ]
A gently sweet, not overpowering with the cinnamon. The crust is a nice golden brown, flaky on the outside--

Buttery...and the flakiness adds a nice crunch as you bite into the pastry. But the filling...oh! The mix of cinnamon and apple and...I think is that nutmeg and brown sugar as well? A perfect compliment to the natural sweetness of the apple while not overpowering it. This is delicious!
