Finn will find that almost no one knows about Anakin's past in Thorne. If anyone does, they've established a close enough relationship to hear about it, but Istredd also is someone who believes strongly in people restarting in this world. Whatever their choices in the past, it doesn't erase them, but it does mean they can change here. His boyfriend was very much the villain of his sphere, but he's made strides to be someone else here. And Istredd thinks they all deserve that.
But he has no knowledge of Anakin's background so it wouldn't occur to him to think people would have reason to be suspicious of the man. He's always been polite.
"Well, if you want to get better at it, the Horizon is a good place to practice. I test out a lot of new spells in here before doing it in Thorne, and I've had positive results." It's not known that powers grow stronger through use in here, but it seems pretty obvious to people who do that sort of thing, at least to Istredd.
"It's important to have rules for yourself when you have abilities. It's all too easy to make mistakes."
