Gabriel listens without interrupting, although it's only half out of respect and half because he's purposefully ignoring any emotional reaction he might have to any of that. But it's good to know what they're dealing with, at least, and it also gives Gabriel more context for how and why Lucifer might act in particular ways. The situation probably isn't one that sits well with him.
