[wanda, of course, can tell that he is lying, but that's something that he's allowed to keep for himself; all the while wanda keeps to herself the fact that she could tell.

she presses at another button—entirely too gently—and watches as lights flicker and sounds arise from the complex machinery.]

Some things are forever irreversible.

[like deaths. which is why wanda could never answer the question about there being a point in time she'd like to return to. caught in a web of delusion and lies, and while that much can stop the pain—it's not really worth all the chaos that comes with it. all that which one may sacrifice.

to lighten the subject, a bit, she looks up at the man.]

Your TARDIS is in my garden, you realize. [not an accusation, nor a complaint. it is also not a question.] Am I going to expect it to be a permanent fixture...?

[er,]

Doctor?

[she's making a guess, given that's what he used earlier.]

[—all of a sudden he's asking if he can keep the tardis in her garden, as a permanent fixture? wanda was certainly expecting him to maybe apologize and remove it, set it off elsewhere; clearly she had read him wrong.

so, she blubbers for a moment—

(at least this much dispels the weight of their conversation)

—and finally finds her voice.]

I mean, that's fine. I just — I think, maybe... Redecorating might be in order. For it to fit in...better?

[all within reason, as he said. suppose this is happening to her now.]

Wanda Maximoff. No fancy titles. [meaning,] What kind of doctor are you?

[an everything doctor, huh?

wanda only just about gets a glimpse of all his internal conflict, as if realizing he must have caught her off guard with his suggestion—at the way he tries to step back entirely, towards the doors, to her garden.]

—maybe a few flowers, but it’s fine.

[she goes over to him, to follow him outside towards her garden proper. the TARDIS is set in a small area with a cobblestone path of bushes of white flowers at either side. there’s a bench, too, and, atop the blue box, a raven that’s been waiting for them to step out.]

I mean, it kind of fits, in some way?

I have to wonder why you would call yourself a madman, but no— I don't mind. [and she adds, nodding.] I'm sure.

[it's not so often that wanda has found herself with the opportunity to share something without feeling like she's coming off as too needy, or just too much. but while her exterior is of a colder temperature—arms crossed, hesitant steps—she is a lot warmer on the inside.

the decision to let him leave his blue police box here in the garden seems right.]

You might have to name the raven on your box, though. [she points, and the raven snaps to attention, hopping over to one of the corners.] Since you skipped the usual tour through the forest.

[he'll have to think of a name? wanda looks up at the raven, who brings its head down as if a little disappointed about having to wait a little bit longer. just annoy him until he remembers to do so, is the message she tosses over towards it, and it caws once before picking up in flight.]

You'll have to remember to give it a name. It will be upset with you until you do.

[—but, at the rest, wanda just nods.]

Just be nice to my flowers, Doctor.

[don't mention it.]
