[ He looks over at Viktor who is doing his best to keep his eyes focused on his work, but Wylan has worked here long enough to know that just the way he is. Still, he's touched that he thought of him. ]
Can I...can I open it now or would you rather I wait until I'm home later?

[It's not like Viktor is purposefully seeking out Jesper--he's simply everywhere, and loud, and makes no secret of his activities. Underneath his detached exterior is someone who actually quite likes using his talents for the benefit of other people, even for something as seemingly frivolous as a birthday.
Inside the package is a leather roll for tools. Viktor does not necessarily spend much time on aesthetics, so the design is simple and efficient, but the leatherwork is competent and Wylan's initials are monogramed on the place where it fastens. It might be easy to imagine Viktor knocking a project like this out quickly, but there's care in it, the mark of a precise hand.]
If you'd rather not celebrate your birthday, consider it a gift of thanks, for your assistance.

Wow. Viktor, this is gorgeous, thank you. I don't know what to say.

[Wylan might be able to guess that any outward sentiment from Viktor is a slightly rare occurrence--or, perhaps, reserved for certain individuals. Still, there's a slight upward curve of his mouth, if he's paying attention.]
I've been glad to have you, these past few months.
