cal; september quest
Not this time, and he isn’t any better at deliveries than he’d be at snorkeling, but the strange individuals are curious to him. When some of the goods cross his workshop, he’s intrigued. None are mechanical, but they do seem to be magic, which means there are things to puzzle out. Compounds to analyze. Theories about how he might utilize its specific properties.
And, employees to use as sounding boards.]
What do you make of this?
[No greeting for Cal as he enters the workshop. Viktor simply thrusts the purple vial outward, inviting him to inspect it. The fact that he has maybe been tasked to go distribute some of these items to the hospital is something he’ll get to when he remembers.]

wylan; borthday
That doesn't mean he says anything about it. But he does work on something--something that ends up on Wylan's workbench, in a nondescript box that Viktor does not otherwise draw attention to.
Instead, when Wylan returns to the workshop, he's business as usual.]
How was the delivery?

rhy; nocwich
And he should be honest about his own plans. Why he was so intent on studying the rifts, and what he wants to do with the Summoning ritual. The kind of thing that's best to talk about in person.
By now, Viktor knows the little tea shops that he likes, and he invites Rhy to one, scrawling in a notebook while he waits and perking up when he sees his friend make his way towards the table.]
Please, sit. [Viktor doesn't stand to greet him, but at this point he knows he doesn't need to demonstrate why.] Is there anything I can get you?

alucard; the robo-boogie
Viktor's usual work trends towards the small and delicate. Finicky, even, the kind of detail one might expect from someone with steady hands and precise fingers. This is none of those things, and the inventor himself is perched on a stool next to the automaton, trading his usual pair of goggles for a full face mask, with thick leather apron and gloves for a welding job. The buzz of the welder disguises the noise of someone entering, but Viktor is not so absorbed in his work that he doesn't notice Alucard entering the workshop. He sets down the tool, momentarily, and pushes the mask up his forehead.]
Here, put this on.
[Goggles, of course. All business--don't mind the dangling metal thing. Or do, because underneath everything, Viktor likes to show off.]
It's all still a work in progress. But the framework is here, and we'll adjust as necessary, depending on preliminary tests.

kell; nocwich
Besides, he'd like to see Kell, if only to make sure he's all right. He sits near the portal, waiting for him and raising his hand in greeting when he steps through.]
Kell.
[Viktor looks tired, but that's nothing new. Tired and, as always, a little sad, but he seems to brighten a bit at his friends' appearance. He's wearing his new braces, the ones on both legs that extend up his hips, parts of them disappearing under his clothes. Kell might recognize it from the Fey ball, but their utilitarian purpose is made clear when he stands, unaided, and takes a few steps forward to meet him.]
It's good to see you.
