"I think the Free Cities would obviously want the Summoned to come here, more of a threat leveled against Thorne if they did, but they wouldn't be able to come on boat easily." No, Thorne's group would have an easier time going to Solvunn, but then they could use the path he knows now from Solvunn to the Free Cities. Cadens is land locked. He doesn't know for absolute certain this is true, they could surprise them and be willing to send the Summoned back, but since they want the war it's more likely they'd gobble up the Summoned.
"We'll always be weapons to them." Frustrating but true. "This all started because most of the Summoned fled Thorne and came here and to Solvunn. They were probably sooooo giddy about it." And then they started Summoning too. "I know in my heart we're going to need an escape plan."
