"When people love each other, they find a way to get through it." Jesper is a bit of a romantic, sure, but he also doesn't mean only in relationships. Friendships too, from his experience, and he's always come through things with the people he loves. Whatever Claude and Hilda were working past, he had faith they'd get there. Eventually.
