"I'm quite the fighter, yes. Fine, I'll show off a little." As if someone needs to convince him! Jesper loves showing off. He moves his long black coat back and then the metal armor that's on him changes. It looks like multiple blades on top of each other ... because that's exactly what it is. Jesper moves his hands and the blades come apart, sliding separately into the air into multiple knives, hovering in the air with what is clearly advanced telekinesis.
The metamorphosis of armor into many knives is part of his skillset, and probably the more impressive part, for people who pay close attention. He pulls a few of the knives to his hand and puts them together, the steel closing in under his supernatural fingers and he turns the end into a steel hilt, before offering it hilt-first to Eliot.
"A sword, milord." He slides the knives back from the air to settle onto his chest, armor again, and then does an elaborate bow.

“Close enough. High King,” he admits, mostly because he had been one and why not flaunt such a title. He did get overthrown, and kicked out of Fillory, but he had been a good king for the best of a minute if he says so. All of it is riddled in the proud glint in his eye. He reaches for the minted blade and with the gleam of the now turned sword, he decides he can give a little show off on his own.
He raises his hand and lets the sword hover briefly and away from Jesper, before it slides against his palm smoothly. It’s a slight tremble of a levitation that lives in him the way magic does and Jesper would feel it within the pull of his reach. There’s barely a mummer of a spell when it’s a discipline well on its way to being mastered.
“Delightful. You’re telekinetic. I am too. Among other things. Magic?” He has to ask, since he’s met all sorts and even more people that come with abilities unlike the ones he personally knows. He’s just getting used to the diversity of the supernatural. Especially when he can sense the knives are connected to Jesper, if his theory is now forming. He just might be a secret magic connoisseur, just not openly.

Jesper lets him show off and watches with approval and no small amount of appreciation. It was, in a way, an 'I'll show you mime if you show me yours.' It's telekinesis too which he appreciates, there's only a few people he knows of here with that particular type of smooth skill.
"Not exactly. I'm a Grisha, that's a person born with supernatural skills. Most of them wouldn't say it's magic, per se, there are no spells required." Actually, many Grisha would argue it's highly sophisticated scientific alteration, but Jesper rolls his eyes about that. Nah, it's magic, it's a particular type of magic that doesn't come off as traditional, that's all.
"Specifically I'm a Durast, we control and alter matter. So I'm actually changing the composition of the blades when I do that." He's changing them from solids to fluids and back to solids again, sometimes it's more evident that he is liquifying. The armor is very familiar to him, that's all.
"Magic for you?"
