She grins, teasing, but she has to admit it kind of feels good to see someone -- a stranger, even -- laughing and enjoying her company so thoroughly. Sam's house is very strange to her eyes, the look of it unfamiliar, but the gathering itself is a warm and enthusiastic affair and that is nice. Drink and laughter and company can soothe most of life's troubles, if only temporarily. Here it is aplenty, feeling no less real for being in this halfway plane on the edges of reality.
