[ Hilda had her fair share of complaints when she had been neck deep in both Cinder's Core and Featherhive. But now that she's standing at the territory lines of the Aetherie? She'd rather fight seemingly sentient thorns and block out chirpy shadow birds than be here. Noxious gas that doesn't affect them the way it would the Draconae aside, this village is essentially a gigantic graveyard.
Hilda has half a mind to turn right around and leave. She did her fair share of collecting earlier and surely that should be enough. But, she, like many of Wylan's other friends had been no match for his sweet puppy dog eyes. Her gaze drifts towards him, a suggestion that they leave this particular area to others more versed in spooky villages. But then she sees that ridiculous eyes again and she find herself swallowing her words.
She lets out a sigh. ]
