Hearing that makes a little shiver run up Hilda's spine. She had heard from some of those who had been here from the start that that had been almost two years ago now. And from what Viktor had told her there had been similarities with the ritual used to summon them here and the rifts that had brought the beasts through. But surely two years ago wouldn’t be enough time to wither away something as powerful as a dragon though, would it?

The thought of them being inadvertently responsible for that only further deepens the little line between her brow.

“Do you know how long ago it was?” A part of her feels silly for asking. What would knowing how long ago the rifts had opened help her let alone at all? “Were the cures we’re helping you now with not developed yet?”
