Dragons are also... sort of a religious figure, in some ways. Not quite as integral as they are to life here, but - close when it comes to the history of Fodlan.
But that's getting away from wyverns, as they're a common flying mount like pegasi. I've learned those aren't common to many other places either, but think of them like... flying warhorses. Wyverns also were used for that but I preferred them as a quick way to travel compared to spending forever on the road. What's the closest thing to that for you?
