[ Geralt isn't expecting any sort of answer one way or another. In truth, he's anticipating Clive to avoid responding at length—but the other man does, as though he's been waiting to get it off his chest. Perhaps he has.

He can read between the lines. One eikon for each element. One eikon for each Dominant. If the phoenix has been claimed by fire, and Clive's brother was claimed by the phoenix, then where does that leave Clive? A man who seemingly bears not only a different eikon of fire but also the vestiges of ice in his spellwork? ]


You commanded both frost and fire. From what I saw.

[ The observation is casual. Clive is undeniably obscuring something, but Geralt can't blame him, and he isn't here to pry if the other man isn't interested in sharing further. But he also won't hide that he's noticed there's more than what Clive has stated out loud. ]
