"And you've been excellent coordinating the revamp, as it were. I'm sure she's grateful," the Doctor smiles easily. "More of a rejuvenation, really, with how you're fixing up the place quite literally."

It's one thing to dust, sweep, mop, do a deep clean, move heavy furniture. But to actually take worn wood and make it look new again, that's another gift altogether. It breathes new life into the place, making it shine.

"Naturally, unfortunately. The way of the universe, in my experience. But we do what we can, when and where we can, to change minds, get people looking at things from a different perspective. Kinder, one hopes. When they learn. If they learn."

He appreciates that learning now, about the other man's world and people. "Blessed seems the most accurate word for it. A gift," he smiles back at Jesper. "What other powers?
